You can reduce stubborn frown lines and wrinkles with BOTOX® Cosmetic, the celebrity chic, anti-aging cosmetic procedure BOTOX® is proven safe and effective for short term reduction of crow's feet, glabella lines, forehead lines, bunny lines (sides of nose), under eye creases, upper lip creases, lower lip creases, lip curl, and full face.
BOTOX® is the number one cosmetic procedure in the United States. It allows many patients to improve their appearance without surgery. It is especially useful in the treatment of "dynamic wrinkles" in the area between the eyebrows (also known as frown lines or glabella) and in the forehead. Dynamic wrinkles are lines that form during normal facial expressions such as smiling, frowning or talking. Botox has been used for cosmetic purposes for almost 20 years and has accumulated a tremendous safety record. Each year, more than 4 million Botox procedures are performed in the United States alone!
BOTOX®is injected into the targeted muscle using a tiny micro-needle. Usually several injections are given per muscle. Because the needle is so fine the pain associated with the injections is minimal. You will feel just a very small sting during the injection. The entire procedure takes approximately 10 minutes. Most patients are in and out of the office without downtime and can resume normal activities immediately. Botox® Cosmetic treatment generally takes 3 to 8 days to reach the maximum effect. The results can last from 3 to 5 months. Patients will require less frequent treatments as they break the habit of contracting frown lines, thereby causing atrophy of the underlying muscle.
Properly done, BOTOX® treatments will not change radically your normal facial expressions, or make you look as if you've something done. We strive to give you a natural-appearing, age-appropriate results.
There are a few possible side effects from the BOTOX® Cosmetic injections but they are rare and always reversible. Sometimes an injection is not effective and a repeat is necessary. Patients may see some minor swelling or bruising and on rare occasions, drooping of the eyebrow or eyelid can occur.
BOTOX® at one practice may not be exactly what you get at another. BOTOX® is supplied in a manufacturers vial. In order to be able to inject the active units of BOTOX®, the physician must add saline to get it in a liquid form. This process is called reconstitution and it enables the BOTOX® to be extracted from the vial into the syringe. The more saline that is added to the BOTOX®vial, the less active units of BOTOX® will be present in the syringe.
Every practice gets the BOTOX® from the same manufacturer Allergan, but during the reconstitution process some physicians add saline at the recommended standard by the American Society of Plastic Surgery, and some others add more saline than recommended. Physicians who add more saline than suggested may be giving you a less effective injection of BOTOX® when quoting you a price based on "Area", instead of "Units". With this in mind, you should be cautious when practices offer BOTOX® at bargain prices based on "area" instead of the number of "units" used.
At BodyConcepts, we charge for BOTOX® by the unit so that you only pay for the exact number of units you receive. We follow the American Society of Plastic Surgery guidelines on reconstitution so you are assured of the efficacy of the product.
Cost is $10.00 per unit with the average cost ranging from $200 - $300 per area.
Juvederm is a long-lasting gel, once injected into the skin with an ultra-fine needle, lifts and adds volume to the areas being treated. Similar to one of the body's own natural substances (hyaluronic acid), juvederm is a completely safe treatment. The hyaluronic acid in Juvederm supplements the body's age-depleted hyaluronic acid, plumping-up the lip or to raise the skin and fill in the particular wrinkle being treated. Juvederm has three major benefits.
In a totally natural, but not definitive way, Juvederm restores the sensuality of your lips and smooth curves to your face. Through a simple injection, without a prior test, minor imperfections and signs of ageing are softened very evenly. Juvederm is an excellent treatment option for:
The effects of Juvederm Ultra Plus usually lasts up to one year, depending on skin type, the area treated and the volume injected for the procedure. The outcome can be optimized and made to last longer with a follow-up procedure a few weeks after the initial treatment.

What to Expect During Juvederm Treatment
Because Juvéderm™ injectable gel is a simple, nonsurgical treatment, there is minimal recovery or downtime.
The procedure: Our doctor will ease the Juvéderm injectable gel under your skin to augment, or fill, wrinkles and folds. Following the injection, The doctor may gently massage the treated areas. The procedure is quick and easy. The injection itself usually takes only about 15-30 minutes.
After the procedure: With Juvéderm there is minimal recovery or downtime. For the first 24 hours following treatment, you should avoid strenuous exercise, excessive sun or heat exposure, and consumption of alcoholic beverages in order to help minimize the risks of temporary redness, swelling, and/or itching at the treatment sites. After the treatment, some temporary injection-related reactions may occur, including redness, pain, firmness, swelling, and bumps. Studies have shown that these are usually mild to moderate in nature and clear up on their own in 7 days or less. If you experience swelling at the injection site, you can apply an ice pack for a brief period.
Seeing results: You should see an immediate improvement in the treatment areas. Most patients need one treatment to achieve optimal wrinkle smoothing, and the results last up to one year. Supplemental “touch up” treatments may be required to achieve and maintain optimal results.
Cost is $499.00 per syringe and a discount is available for additional syringes purchased on the same day of service.
